Day 1

DALAT – LAK LAKE ~ 160 KM (8:30 – 17:00)

Leaving Dalat for Lak Lake after visit Crazy House (The old architecture of Dalat). From there we continue to visit weasel/ Civet coffee farm, try some world famous coffee, and then head to Elephant waterfall and silk factory, stop by a place where they process rice vodka and ride up winding mountain roads, the beautiful landscape along the highway 27 to Lak Lake. (One of the most beautiful roads in the Central Highland). Then we stop for lunch and try the different dishes of Vietnamese cuisine. From there drive several kilometers for short stop to visit silk cocoon house and a bamboo bridge. Stopping at Nam Ka hydro lake to see a majestic floating village. Lak Lake will be a place where we’ll stay overnight, spend the night in Van Long Resort (2 star) or long house of M’nong ethnic minority by the lake. After dinner, experience a Special Ethnic Music festival, drink jar-wine by traditional way and dancing with M’nong ethnic minority. (Seasonal).

Day 2

LAK LAKE – DRAYNUR WATERFALL – BUON MA THUOT ~ 120 KM (9:30 – 16:00)

Before we depart Lak Lake, we’ll learn about the daily life of M’nong ethnic minority, ride elephant to explore the area or take a wooden boat trip around the lake to have some great shots of the fishermen (Wooden boat trip or elephant riding extra pay). We could trek to the top of the Elephant Rock mountain to enjoy the panoramic view of the area. We then travel to Draynur waterfall (The biggest waterfall in Vietnam) where you can swim or dip your body into the Fairy Pool next to the waterfall after a hot day traveling. Lunch at local restaurant, After lunch head to Buon Ma Thuot city. Overnight at Eden 2 star hotel.

Day 3

BUON MA THUOT – PLEIKU ~ 230 KM (8:00 – 17:00)

Starting at 8:30, Driving out of the capital of the Central Highlands, travel on the old Ho Chi Minh trail to learn more about the history of Vietnamese people during the French colony and the Civil War, the daily life of highlanders who live along the roads to learn how they make rice paper, noodles. Stop at the tribal village of Ede and see the long stilted houses. Learn their culture and customs. After we will stop for lunch. Then see a rubber, cashew and black pepper plantations. Head to Pleiku City famous for it’s war history of the Vietnamese conflict. Stay overnight in Pleiku after a long days ride.

Day 4

PLEIKU – KON TUM ~ 140 KM (8:00 – 17:00)

Leaving Pleiku for Kon Tum we head to Sea Lake ( Which used to be a volcanic crater that stopped working a million years ago). A great place to take some good photos for your jouney. We then continue traveling to Kon Tum where you can visit Kon Tum Prison, Kon Ktu village where you can meet the Ede hill tribes in their Rong house and learn their traditions, cultures, customs and daily life. We’ll stay overnight in Kon Tum.

Day 5

KON TUM – KHAM DUC ~ 170 KM (8:30 – 17:00)

Before leaving Kon Tum for Kham Duc, we explore around Kon Tum to visit an old wooden church, the local orphanage, the suspension bridge and see the Bana tribal village and see the very unique architecture of the tall community meeting hall. Drive to the Dakto battle field to see remnants of the US war and then onto Phoenix and Charlie hill. Stop at the Indochina triangle (border of Cambodia, Lao and Vietnam) to have lunch and learn about the history of the region. Continue traveling on the Ho Chi Minh trail, You’ll have the opportunity to learn more about the different cultures of Ch’ru, Bana, Thai tribes, amongst some of the 54 different ethnic minorities in Viet Nam. Stay overnight at Kham Duc town, surrounded by mountains and jungle.

Day 6

KHAM DUC – HOI AN ~ 161 KM (8:30 – 17:00)

Leaving Kham Duc for Hoi An, after visiting the local market of the mountain town of Kham Duc to learn more about the rural life of the highlanders as well as other ethnic minorities. Following Ho Chi Minh trail and stop at a waterfall next to the road, here you can swim and enjoy water massage at waterfall. Go down to Thanh My, an area heavily bombed by the Americans to prevent movements of the VC on the the Ho Chi Minh Trail. Stop at a pineapple plantation where we can have a rest and enjoy some fresh pineapple. On the way to Hoi An, we’ll stop over at the marvelous Truong Son Mountain and 11th century Champa Tower. Arrive in Hoi An around 4:30pm to 5:00pm. Tour end.
